Wedding Jewellery to Treasure Forever

In this blog Sylvia gives her thought as an established wedding jewellery designer, on the perfect day jewellery.
So, the venue has been booked, the dress is in the bag (literally) and every aspect of your big day has been ticked off on the list, but there's just one other big consideration for the big day: what jewellery to wear to compliment your look.

SIMPLE & UNIQUE JEWELLERY
Aside from the rings, when choosing your jewellery for the big day, think one word, Balance.... always considering the whole picture. For example, if your gown is exquisitely detailed or you have a gorgeous statement jewellery piece you are longing to wear, remember often less is more. You don't want to look "busy" and detract from these key elements, so if in doubt keep your accessories simple.

TIARAS
Whether these are the genuine article or costume jewellery, a tiara can be quite the statement piece. It needs to have pride of place amongst your other wedding jewellery, but don't be tempted to overdo things with dramatic earrings or necklace. All that is required to compliment are simple stud earrings and bracelet

A WORD ON NECKLINES.
Different necklines lend themselves to different styles of jewellery.
Plunge or V- shaped: These look best with a pendant that falls mirroring the shape of your dress.

Sweetheart: The perfect opportunity for something quite elaborate, perhaps evena family heirloom, but bear in mind, it needs to compliment not overshadow your dress. Often just a pair of stunning pearl studs earrings and a pretty bracelet are all that's required.
Backless: The back of your gown is so important. It's what most of your guests will see, as you walk down the aisle and throughout the ceremony. What a wonderful opportunity for a beautiful backdrop necklace? We love these. Choose one or even better have a bespoke piece made to compliment your dress and remember your hair up for this look!

Of course the most important part of your wedding jewellery will always be your wedding rings, and there are no hard and fast rules here other than to choose what you love and suits your lifestyle, as you're going to be wearing these for a long time to come. When choosing these, you probably thought about how it would sit next to your engagement ring. The beauty of choosing a bespoke piece of jewellery is that we can design these at the same time, so they sit perfectly together.
Our bespoke service offers the perfect opportunity to incorporate unique detailing, personalisation as well as choosing precious metals and stones of your choice for the ultimate his and her rings. If he popped the question a while back (congratulations!) and you already have your engagement ring, we can help you create the perfect wedding ring to compliment.
Choosing bespoke also offers you the opportunity to create further pieces which sit in harmony with your rings, such as an eternity or a special anniversary gift of a beautiful necklace or a a pair of cufflinks which will be a unique jewellery design and very personal to you both.
We can also take pre-loved precious jewellery and remodel into something desirable and wearable, so if time passes and you fall out of love with your existing wedding and engagement ring, please do get in touch!
